This work consists of an impasto galaxy like painting with a cigarette burning in the middle. Fallen ashes surround the cigarette and human like faces can be seen in the ashes when one examines them closely.

This painting was actually one of the pieces he had submitted in his application to study at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University in Halifax Nova Scotia. It remains in Mr. Malone's personal collection. The work is a surrealist style acrylic painting depicts an old black and white television emitting sepia toned orbs as it floats in a dimensionless space of color bars.

Photographer John Malone Receives First Place in Juried Art Contest. The theme was "Taboo Art" and John won first place with his controversal image of a bullfight in Cancun Mexico. John admits the bullfights are inhuman and is in favour of banning them. He is however glad to have summoned the fortitude to have witnessed this culturally significant event for posterity sake. (They have since suspended bullfighting in Cancun)
